The story behind the name.
When Nordic Catch launched, our mission was crystal clear: deliver the highest quality seafood in the world, sourced exclusively from Iceland’s pristine waters, renowned for their purity and sustainability.
As our loyal fanbase grew, so did their appetite—for more than just Icelandic seafood. They wanted access to the same caliber of quality, taste, and responsible sourcing across a broader range of proteins. We listened.
Today, Nordic Catch represents more than just the best seafood. It’s a curated portfolio of premium, sustainably raised meats, hand-selected from producers who share our uncompromising standards and values. While the “Catch” started with the sea, it has come to signify the discovery of exceptional food, no matter where it’s found.
Our name honors our origin story, while our products reflect the journey we've taken with our customers—from Iceland’s fjords to the world’s finest farms.
Never Outsourced
As we continue growing, we’re reminded how small this industry really is.
Most of the big players rely on the same high-volume, overseas exporters.
Different branding, same supply. The focus is efficiency and margin—not quality.
At Nordic Catch, we do things differently. Our team is hands-on in every part of the process—sourcing, packing, shipping, marketing and customer service. Nothing is handed off.
Our freezers are intentionally small. We freeze our own product, and most of our seafood cycles out every 2–4 weeks. We’re not sitting on pallets of inventory for months—or years—before it reaches your plate.
We’ve seen the marketing tactics—lab reports, buzzwords, and polished storytelling designed to create the illusion of quality. Testing for what shouldn’t be there doesn’t replace sourcing from where quality already exists.
We focus on what actually matters—the source, how it’s handled, and how quickly it gets to you.
