Refund policy

We uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and product freshness. However, due to the nature of fresh meat and seafood, we cannot guarantee a specific timeframe for peak freshness, as various factors may impact product longevity. We strongly recommend consuming fresh products as soon as possible for the best experience.

For frozen items, expiration dates may not always be printed. To maintain optimal quality, we advise keeping frozen products for no longer than three months.

Nordic Catch Order Protection is included on all shipped orders. You can review our Order Protection Terms of Service and file a claim here.

Perishable Items:

All sales are considered final upon shipment due to the perishable nature of our products. It is the responsibility of the recipient to retrieve and properly store the products at the time of the delivery. We do not offer refunds or exchanges except in the following cases:

Transit Delays Leading to Spoilage

Most orders are expected to arrive within 1–2 days of shipment. If a delay in transit results in spoilage, we will take full responsibility.

Order Fulfillment Errors

If we ship an incorrect item or fail to fulfill your order as requested, we will promptly resolve the issue.

Shipping Damage

If your order arrives damaged due to carrier mishandling, we will provide full reimbursement or a replacement.

Please note that refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction based on personal taste preferences. Food experiences are subjective, and individual preferences vary.

Please note the following about our refund and exchange policy:

  • Discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded
  • Products not properly handled upon delivery (ie. refrigeration), will not be considered for a refund
  • Shipping charges will not be refunded for any reason. We will ship using the rate you select at checkout, but delays by the courier are out of our control and Nordic Catch is not credited by the courier in any way for these
  • All prepaid, pick up orders that are NOT picked up within 24 hours of receiving a "Ready for pickup" notification, are subject to a 30% restocking fee
  • All local delivery orders that waive our insulation materials, and are NOT accepted at the time of delivery, are subject to a 30% restocking fee

To initiate a claim for a refund, please complete the following:

Send an email to support@nordiccatch.com and include the following information: Purchase Date, Name of Product/s, Location (Online or in-person), and Payment Type (Cash, Credit Card w/ last 4 digits)

Please include applicable photos and/or videos (product damage, shipping materials)!

Claims will be reviewed within 24 hours and we will respond to your initial email with any follow up questions, or results of the claim.

We may provide you with a return label to return the box and its contents to us. This ensures we properly discard bad product and recycle the shipping materials!

 

Non-Perishable Items:

Any non-perishable item is eligible for a return up to 30 days from purchase date. Items must be unused, unopened, and in brand new condition to be eligible for a full refund.

You may initiate a self-serve return of these items by logging in to your account and navigating to your order summary.

Customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Refund will be processed within 5 days of receiving the return.

For items that are damaged in transit, please send an email to support@nordiccatch.com and include your Order Number and photos and/or videos of the damage. Nordic Catch will review and offer a replacement or refund on damaged items.
