Customer photo review of Wild Ahi Tuna Sushi Saku Block (10oz avg)

Salmon Skinless is good but still has grey fatty deposit so not perfect for sushi Yama seafood comes pristine.

Wild Ahi Tuna Sushi Saku Block (10oz avg)

Store owner replied: Hey Peter! Really appreciate the feedback. We took this seriously and have since tightened our spec for the salmon loins. Happy to report that our last two production runs came out much cleaner, with virtually all of the grey fatty layer removed. Feedback like this genuinely helps us improve, so thank you for taking the time to share it and for your support. Nordic Catch

Perfect size to cut in half and keep half frozen. Wife and I split the defrosted half. We lived in Hawaii for forty years, so we are spoiled. This was one of the best ahi blocks we've found for delivery. Good job.

Wild Ahi Tuna Sushi Saku Block (10oz avg)

The ahi was much more fishy in taste then anything I’ve ever had before. Also seems like color was added as it was discharging a watery pinkish color liquid for well over 4 hours after thawing, opening, patting dry and letting sit on a plate in the fridge

Wild Ahi Tuna Sushi Saku Block (10oz avg)

We ordered a wide variety of fish for a sushi night with friends. It was all top notch with great flavor except the Ahi. It had a mushy texture compared to what you would expect, it also had a much fisher flavor then any other Ahi I’ve had. The color looks great until you leave it on a plate in the fridge for 2-3 hours and realize the color is most likely added. After thawing in the fridge for 2 days, then removing from the package and patting dry it continued to weep a pink liquid consistently. None of the other tuna variety’s we ordered did this. Overall we enjoyed our order with the exception of the Ahi, we ended up throwing about 85% of it away.

I made this “cake” for my friend using fresh salmon from Xianyun, and words can’t even describe how delicious it is. Just look at those beautiful marbled lines of salmon — you can tell how incredibly fresh and tasty it is.

Haven’t used it yet to say. Looks good not consistent in size though. Hope it didn’t spoil with delivery being delayed

What a great find! Almost every mail order service has astronomical shipping rates. Not Nordic! Reasonable rates for the amount of products was encouraging. The quality of the product is outstanding. I will continue to purchase products from them moving forward. Great job Nordic!

We chose a Japanese theme this year for our Thanksgiving dinner. We had nigiri and sashimi as well as other fixings. The tuna was fresh and flavorful. Worked well with the salmon, yellowtail, scallop, shrimp, red snapper (all Nordic sushi grade).
