    At Montaraz, we never use artificial additives, opting instead for the healthiest, natural ingredients. Curing exclusively with sea salt means extending our curing times, but the result is unparalleled quality.
    As a further point of distinction, we adhere strictly to the Ibérico Regulation.

    The king of the Dehesa roams freely in its idyllic natural setting: the Extremadura Dehesa.
    Here, every Iberian pig has 3 to 4 hectares of pasture exclusively to itself, ranking it among the most contented animals out there.

    At Montaraz, our drying sheds and natural cellars are situated in two locations: Salamanca and Olivenza.
    This unique setup allows us to offer two distinct types of refinement while maintaining the same high quality across our products.

    Montaraz boasts the worldʼs largest openplan natural drying sheds and cellars, featuring ceilings that rise to 5.5 meters.

    At Montaraz, we are committed to the complete welfare of our animals from birth to the end of their lives, managing all processes within our own facilities.
    Our modern, state-of-the-art slaughterhouse is used exclusively for our animals, and we employ CO2 sedation to ensure they are asleep during transit, ensuring they experience no pain and live happily.
